We Are All This (2017)

In this work I explore the potential for dance making and performance to aid in mending and weaving the social fabric through the mechanism of collaboration, the cornerstone of this work. We Are All This is an interdisciplinary, ecological exploration of the relationships between the self, the planet, and one another, and is comprised of radical movement vocabularies, an original, live sound score designed and performed by Will Shields, and an original set design by Serena Yau. The performance features a diverse, multi-generational group of  artists and performers who take audiences on a trip through symbols, myths, and rituals to uncover our shared humanness.

The work is the culmination of my  MFA thesis research at Smith College, and it premiered February 9-11 2017.
